Our annual AYSO/UK International Summer Soccer Day Camp program, which is held at the Crestmoor soccer fields in San Bruno, will be offered in two one week sessions this summer.  The first session will be held July 27 – 31 and the second session from August 17-21.  Last year, over 70 youth soccer players attended the camp.  The camp offers half day (9 A.M. -12:00) and full day (9 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.) programs for soccer players from ages 4 to 16.

All camp sessions are based on individual attention to ball skills, as well as fun games to put those skills into practice and develop teamwork. Players are encouraged to express themselves in order to develop confidence and individual creativity on the field.

You can register on line for the camp by accessing the following link HERE. Information on the camp will also be available at our May and June registration sessions at the San Bruno Recreation Center.

Our traditional “Summer Kicks” soccer program is a great way for our younger soccer players (from 5 to 11 years of age) to work on their soccer skills in a fun, game-oriented environment.  Last year, over 150 kids participated in the program, which is held on 6 weeknights (Tuesdays and Thursdays) over the last three weeks in June.  The camp will be held at the Crestmoor soccer fields in San Bruno from 6:00-7:30 in the evening on the following dates:  June 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, and 25.  The cost of the program is $25 per player, with each player receiving their own soccer ball and Summer Kicks Tee-shirt.  You can register your child for Summer Kicks at any of our regular May and June 2009 drop-in registration sessions at the San Bruno Recreation Center.

18th Annual Turkey Tournament was held November 29th and 30th, 2008

San Bruno AYSO’s 18th annual Turkey Tournament was held on November 29th and 30th, 2008, on soccer fields in San Bruno and neighboring communities.  We had a record turnout this year with 68 Bay Area AYSO Under-10, Under-12 and Under-14 age group teams participating in the tournament under very pleasant fall weather conditions.  We reached capacity in early November in virtually all of our age groups and had to unfortunately turn away a number of teams. Thanks to all of the players, families, coaches, referees and tournament volunteers for making this year’s tournament such a success. (Click here for the official results from the 2008 tournament)

The 19th annual Turkey Tournament will be held on November 28th and 29th, 2009, so put the dates on your calendar!

Our League is Fully Run by Volunteers

None of our coaches, referees, league board members and other league volunteers receive any money for the time that they devote in support of the league and your children during the season and in the months leading up to the start of the fall season. If there’s an area of our league you’d like to be involved with in the future as a volunteer—coach, referee, field and facility improvements, field set up, registration, finances, training, scheduling, publications, promotions, special events, summer camps, snack bar, administration--please leave a message on our 873-AYSO message center and let us know how you’d like to help. And just remember that some of our most accomplished league volunteers were only exposed to soccer later in life and have used our volunteer training and mentoring programs to fill in key knowledge gaps. So please do your best to volunteer where you can!
