Annual Turkey Tournament

Team Invitation

Scope:

AYSO Section – open to AYSO Teams only from Section 2

When:

Saturday & Sunday, November 28th & 29th 2009. 

Where:

The tournament will be in San Bruno, California and in the surrounding cities.  No pets are allowed at fields.

Who:

AYSO boys and girls teams in age divisions:  U-14 (11 v 11 ) 15 players max, U-12 (9 v 9) 12 players max, and U-10 (7 v 7) 10 players max.  All players must be registered to play in the AYSO 2009 primary season.  There is a limit of teams per division.

What:

All pool play games will be two twenty (20) min. halves.  All U12 and U14 Championship Games will be twenty five (25) min. halves.  No standings will be kept for the U10 division.

Why:

The San Bruno Turkey Tournament is being conducted as a fundraiser for the San Bruno Cultural Exchange  Program and for Field Development, Equipment & Maintenance

Awards:

All U12 and U14 players and 2 coaches per team will receive a tournament pin and program.  All players on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th Place teams will receive a medal.  All U10 players will receive participation medals.

Entry Fee, Refunds

$350 for U-14, $325 for U-12 and $300 for U-10.  A full refund will be issued if tournament is cancelled and Refunds cannot be rescheduled.  If a team withdraws 30 or more days before the tournament, a full refund is given.  Within 30 days of the tournament, no refund is provided unless a replacement team is found.

Acceptance:

The application postmark deadline is October 21, 2009.  All teams will be notified within 48 hours of the application deadline or receipt of application (whichever is latest) as to their status.  Teams that are not accepted will be given the option to have their complete application returned or to be placed on the waiting list.

How:

Team entry application and all necessary forms are available on the tournament website.  Please send one Region Check for the entry fee along with the tournament application, referee information form and team roster to the Tournament Registrar address below.  Regional Commissioner must sign application and team roster.  Appropriate referee administrator must sign referee information form.  See referee form for details.
